The College initially achieved its mission to provide adult learners with a flexible and affordable pathway to a credential through the assessment of learning and the aggregation of credit earned from inside and outside the classroom. |

In recognition of the highly specialized needs of veterans, in 2013, the College established the Lt. Col. Bryant A. Murray Veterans Center, a virtual center that serves veterans and military service members wherever they are and whether or not they are Excelsior students.
